GREENVILLE ADVOCATE - 08MAR1943 - MRS. DAISY MAE DANIELS DIES SUNDAY AFTERNOON AT MULBERRY GROVE
Mrs. Daisy Mae Daniels, mother of Virgil Stone & Mrs. Louise Barth of Mulberry Grove passed away at 3:15 p.m., Sunday at the home of Mrs. Florence Smith in Mulberry Grove. She had been in poor health for the past 4 years. Death was due to agranulocytosis, a blood disease.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday at the Free Methodist church in Pittsburg, the Rev. Ross Davidson of Vandalia officiating. Interment will be at Noffsinger cemtery.
Mrs. Daniel's maiden name was Cripe, the daughter of John & Amanda (Moore) Cripe & she was born 28Feb1877 near Hookdale in Bond Co. & was aged 66 years & 7 days. She was married in 1899 to Herbert Stone, who died in 1915. Surviving this unino are the following children: William Stone & Mrs. Louis Barth of Mulberry Grove; Ranus Stone of Centralia; Gaylord Stone in the U.S. Army statined in North Africa; Mrs. Gladys Camen of Vandalia; Mrs. Oral Stewart of St. Louis; Mrs. Agnes Ray of Chicago & Mrs. Elva Bone of Fayette Co. Two children, Bertha & Edith have preceded her in death. She is also survived by 4 brothers, John Cripe of Lincoln, NE; Lee, William & Charles Cripe of Fayette Co.; Mrs. Alice Stubblefield of Harristown & Mrs. Anna Kelly of Fayette Co.; 1 half-brother Jacob Cripe of Fayette Co.; 1 half-sister, Mrs. Viola Craven of Hervy; 1 step-sister, Mrs. Emma Reeves of Fayette Co. & 1 step-brother, Joe Renfro of Canada; 23 grandchildren & 1 great-grandchild. In 1923 Mrs. Stone married Joseph Daniels at Vandalia & he died in 1927. One daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Chandler of Vandalia survives this union.
She had spent most of her life in Seminary Twp., Fayette Co. & was well known.
