Mr A. Tennant The death took place on Tuesday at his home, Edinglassie, Strathdon, Aberdeenshire, of Mr Archibald Tennant, who unsuccessfully contested North Aberdeen as a Unionist in the 1950 General Election and Orkney and Shetland in 1951. He was 46. Mr Tennant was the younger son of the late Mr H. J. Tennant, of Hutton Castle, M.P. for Berwickshire from 1894 to 1918 and his grandfather, Sir Charles Tennant, was at one’ time M.P. for Glasgow. Mr Tennant, who was a barrister, served during the Second World War with the Scots Guards and from 1945-46 was in the legal division of the Allied Military Government in Germany.
