Patricia L. Lowry was born October 8, 1940 in Yuma, Arizona to Jessie and Dennis McKelvey.
She passed away July 7, 2008 at Sayre, Oklahoma at the age of 67 years, 8 months and 29 days.
Pat met Jerald Hooks, Sr. in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. They were married in 1955 and four children were born to this union.
Pat later moved to California where she married Lonnie D. Lowry in 1971, adding four more children to the family.
They moved to Oklahoma to raise the 8 children and made their home in Sayre. Pat was a hairdresser for 20 years. She also worked at the hospital as a dietician and most recently was employed with Northfork Correctional Center in food service, retiring in 2007. Pat was an avid fan of OU football and enjoyed fishing, gardening, sewing, cooking out on the patio and playing golf.
She was preceded in death by her parents, both her husbands, 1 daughter, Audrey Archer Jones, 2 sisters, Clara Hutchinson and Blanche Powell, 3 brothers, Jim, John and Robert McKelvey.
She is survived by 7 children, Clara Rogers and husband, Scott, Sayre, OK; Jerald Hooks and wife, Janette, Sayre, OK; Jim Hooks, Oklahoma City; Susan King and husband, Redd, Elk City, OK; Misty Hoots and husband, Gerry, Elk City, OK; Lonnie Lowry, Jr. and wife, Tracy, Pensacola, FL; Debbie Forgay, Elk City, OK; 1 son-in-law, Rusty Jones, Gainesville, TX; 30 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 1 on the way; 2 sisters, Mickey Taylor, of the home and Josephine Lambert, Cheyenne, OK; her mother-in-law, Gracie Lucille Lowry, Sayre, OK and a host of other relatives and friends,
