George graduated from Stanford University with a Bachelor of Arts in Mechanical Engineering. He enjoyed hiking and took his children with him to hike in Yosemite and at Mt. Tamalpais. George was gifted in music, drawing, and languages. He played the violin, mandolin and piano. He was ambidextrous and could draw with either hand. Because of his parents, he grew up speaking English, French, and German. George had two children with his first wife, Eva R. Stoudt, and three children with his second wife, Lura Bernice Giffin.
