Mr. Abram G. Stewart, a former commission merchant, died yesterday morning at his home, 901 West Barre street, of cancer. He had been in ill health for a year.
Mr. Stewart was born in Anne Arundel county, Maryland, April 21, 1821, and was 84 years old on Good Friday. After coming to Baltimore he engaged in the commission business and later secured a stall in the Lexington Market for the sale of vegetables. He again entered the commission business and retired 10 years ago.
