Charlene Marie Engebretson, 79, passed away peacefully Jan. 27, 2015, following continuous care since suffering a stroke April 2014. Charlene, was a homemaker and resided in Las Vegas since 1962. Charlene worked for nearly 20-years as a teachers aide working with special needs students at Helen J. Stewart School.

Charlene shared her life as a devoted wife, of 55 years, with her "hero" husband, Elwood, who passed in 2007. Charlene leaves a legacy of six children; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews, residing in several states.

She was born June 2, 1935, in Virginia, Minn., along with her surviving twin sister, Charlotte Becker, of Saginaw, Minn., to parents Fred and Anna Marie Stickney. Charlene's surviving children are daughters, Christine (Bruce) Mooney and Sandy (Jack) Baker; sons, Richard (Lizabeth) and Ronald (Lynda) daughters, Kathryn (Robert) Hilton and Melissa (Randy); grandchildren, Brian, Chris, Gina, Mitchell, Jessica, Regan, Ronald, Erik, Jennifer, Kristin, Ethan, Savannah, Harley and Alexandria; and great-grandchildren, Devynn, Destiny, Connor, Rayleen, Ayrika, Tuolumne, Thalia and Addlyn.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 13, at Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., Las Vegas. Charlene will forever be in our hearts.
