BROWN SUMMIT - Loretta Midgett Case, 69, of 5701 Lauderdale Road, died Dec. 23, 2002 at her residence. The funeral will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Lee's Chapel United Methodist Church, conducted by Rev. Greg Freeman. Burial will be in Lakeview Memorial Park.
A native of Dare County, Mrs. Case was born Oct. 24, 1933 to Frank William and Bernice Saunders Midgett.
She was a member of Lee's Chapel United Methodist Church and was a guard with the Guilford County Sheriff's Department in the Transportation Department. She received a 20 year Law Enforcement Service Award.
Mrs. Case was preceded in death by her loving husband, Curtis L. Case, in January, 1994.
Survivors include son and wife, Donald Louis and Deridder Case of Greensboro; daughters, Kimberly Case and husband, Charles Edward Hayes, Jr. of Tifton, Ga., and Christy Case and David Soens of Swainton, N.J.; grandchildren, Julie Case and husband Jimmy Scott of Summerfield, Laurie Case and husband Danny Epperson of Greensboro, Joshua N. Myers of Greensboro, Bailey David Soens and Tegan Elizabeth Soens, both of Swainton, N.J.; great-grandchildren, Hannah Marie Scott of Summerfield and Haleigh Alissa Epperson and Daniel Ray Epperson, both of Greensboro; sister, Janice Midgett Gallop of Windsor, N.C.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 26, 2002, at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Service and other times at the residence. Memorials may be made to Lee's Chapel United Methodist Church Improvement Fund, 2303 Lee's Chapel Road, Greensboro, N.C.
