Theresa Eileen Janocha Kohlway, a retired nurse and mother of five, died at Franklin Woods Center in Baltimore on January 31. She was 83 years old. She was the daughter of Frances Zakzrewski Janocha, a homemaker, and Joseph Janocha, a printer. Theresa Kohlway and her twin sister, Constance Janocha Bartholomae, were born in Baltimore on November 15, 1931. In 1953, she married John M. Kohlway Sr; a U.S. Marine. He later became a banker and they raised five children in Catonsville; they were married for 58 years, until John’s death in 2011. Theresa Kohlway was a nurse at St. Joseph Medical Center in Towson for more than 40 years. Theresa was preceded in death by her twin sister, Constance. She is survived by five children: John M. Kohlway Jr, Christopher J. Arndt-Kohlway and his wife Sandra, Kathryn A. Robinson and her husband Harry, David C. Kohlway, Maria T. Kalbac and her husband James. She is also survived by five grandchildren: Aleksandra Sandstrom, Alexander Arndt-Kohlway, Christopher Kohlway, Nicholas Arndt-Kohlway and Rebecca Kalbac.
