His 5th Great Grandfather was William Pabody (m. 12/26/1644 Elizabeth Alden, oldest d/o John Alden & Priscilla Mullins); lineal descendant of John Alden and Priscilla Mullins.

Served in the War of 1812 as a Sergeant, in Capt. Robert Wilber and Joseph Lord's Companies, Van Dalfsen's Reg't, New York Militia (Bounty Land in Jennings County 15593-40-50 and also 54325-120-55)

Suggested edit: Ezra F. Pabody was born June 21, 1789 in New York. He later moved to Vernon, Indiana where he worked as a physician. He served on the Legislative Assembly of the State from 1828-1830 and again in 1833, 1838, and 1839. He served as Associate Judge from 1831-1832 and was elected Probate Judge in 1841 where he served two consecutive terms. After that he was elected to the Court of Common Pleas. He married Mabel Butler on October 15, 1820 and together they had seven children. Ezra F. Pabody died in Feb of 1871.

Horatio C. Newcomb was born in Pennsylvania in 1822 and was the son-in-law of Ezra F. Pabody. He was the mayor of Indianapolis, Indiana from 1849-1851, president of the State Board of Sinking Fund Commissioners, a member of the Indiana State Senate and House of Representatives, a judge of the Superior Court, and a Supreme Court Commissioner.
