David William Carr, 67, of Johns Island, SC, husband of Ruth Carr, died Saturday, January 31, 2015. David was born September 5, 1947 in San Diego, California, son of the late Herbert William Carr and Dorothy Margaret Wright Carr Hayes.

David was a member of Franklin Lodge #96, A.F.M., James Island Chapter #284, O.E.S., Omar Shrine Temple and Hillbilly Clan #82. David served in the Navy and dedicated his life to the Shriner Hospitals and the care of the children.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth, his mother, Dorothy, two daughters: Cynthia and Arianne, 4 grandchildren: Sita, Priya, Eitan, and Asher. 6 siblings: Beverly, Geoffrey, Michael, Michele, Christopher and Matthew ; 10 nieces and nephews; and 3 great-nieces and great-nephews.
