Charles W. Tennant, age 86, of Roanoke, Indiana, past away Sunday February 1, 2015 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN. He was a 1946 graduate of Sidney High School. In his teens he worked for the Nickel Plate Railroad, and served his country in the U. S. Army. He worked as a certified welder and crew supervisor at Nipsco for 42 years, retiring in 1988.

Charles was born August 20, 1928 in Kosciusko County, a son of Robert Dale and Edith Esther (Grindle) Tennant. On December 3, 1955, he married his beloved wife of 59 years Susan L (Bowman), and she survives in Roanoke. Also surviving are a son, Gary Tennant of Roanoke; two Daughters, Linda (Ken) Reffe; and Holly Elwood both of Fort Wayne; 10 grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Marie Tharp, and two brothers, Harold and Roy Tennant.

Burial took place in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Pierceton, IN.
