Albert E. Jones, 38, of 102 E. Cook St., an agent here for the Mutual Benefit Life Insurance Co., of Newark, N.J., was found dead at 2:30 a.m. yesterday in bed by his wife, Lenora, when she awakened. Death was apparently due to a heart attack.

Mr. Jones was active in the insurance field, and had served as secretary, treasurer and director of the Springfield Association of Life Underwriters.

He also served as chairman of numerous committees of that association.

He was born in New Castle, Pa., July 28, 1911.

He had been a resident of Springfield for 17 years.

Surviving are his wife, Lenora; parents, Mr. and Mrs. George A. Jones, Youngstown, O.; and two brothers, Merle and George, both of Youngstown.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Grace Lutheran church. Rev. William Roth will officiate.

Burial will be in Roselawn cemetery.
