He was born December 7, 1932 in Steuben County, IN, a son of Henry and Bernice (Wirick) Walters. He married his wife Anna L. Champion on November 27, 1953. He retired from Brammall Inc.
Darrel was a member of Sonlight Community Church, Angola.
Including his wife of 61 years; Anna he is survived by his daughter, Laura (Don) Shively; son Michael (Holly) Walters both of Angola; and two granddaughters, Sydney and Brenna Walters. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother Oliver Walters.
Burial took place in the Flint Cemetery, Steuben County, IN.
