◦Earnest 'Roy' Asselstine Of Roblin, Ontario, passed away on October 14, 1999 at the Lennox & Addington County General Hospital. He was 74. Roy was born in Roblin, the son of the late Eliza Clark and Sidney Asselstine, and lived in this area all his life. He was a farmer and a custodian in the L&A School Board and had been retired for 10 years. Roy attended the Roblin Wesleyan Church and worked with the Terry Fox Foundation. He enjoyed wooden furniture restoration. Roy is survived by his wife Irene, daughters and their families, 15 grandchildren, two great grandchildren, sisters Laura McCutcheon, Rose Sweet, Cynthia Powell, brothers Frank, Lyman and Stan. He was predeceased by his sisters May Morgan, Bessie Young, Hazel Lasher, Lanora Martin, brothers Reg and Johnny and grandsons Jeffery Orser and Kevin Lyons. The Funeral was held on October 16, 1999, at the Wartman Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Robert Votary officiated. Soloist Rev. Bert McCutcheon. Pallbearers were George Morgan, John McCutcheon, Delmar Seale, Wayne Rice, Neil Lambert and Claude Lambert. Honorary Pallbearers were Jack DaFoe, Bob Kimmett and Jim McCutcheon. Flower Bearers were six of his grandchildren. Interment Roblin Cemetery
