On July 3, 2010 Delaney was diagnosed with a brain tumor the size of a golf ball on her brain stem that was later diagnosed as Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma. The neurologists and oncologists of Denver Children's Hospital deemed the tumor inoperable due to its location. They completed a 5-day high dosage, experimental radiation treatment and results were so good that it opened the door for other children who suffer from DIPG to receive the same treatment. Although the results from the radiation were good, there was still only a 5% chance that this beautiful little girl would make it longer than 1 year.

Over the next few months, mommy (Brenna Wadsworth) and daddy (Jason Wadsworth) insured that EVERY day was a wonderful, exciting adventure and lasting memory for their beautiful baby girl. From trips to Sea World & LegoLand in California to Disney World in Florida, (and many places and events in between), to quiet cozy days at home (AKA Camp Delaney); the Wadsworth family selflessly gave all of the world a chance to follow them on their journey, and to show our love and support for their little "Laney Bug". Delaney truely lived a lifetime within those months, from Cheerleading for two different High Schools, and College, winning multiple pageants, raising animals on a farm to getting married to Buzz Lightyear - Delaney had a life that we should all strive to give to our children. Through it all, it was filled with love, laughter, and LOTS of family & friends.

10:00pm on Sunday night, March 13th, 2011, surrounded by friends and family, Delaney Deborah Wadsworth walked out of the bedroom into the arms of Jesus, met first by her beloved puppy, Daisy. With a spirit too strong for her little body, she now has a body that is totally restored and is perfect in the Kingdom of Heaven. She was a gift from God, shared with all, loved by many and missed by millions.
