James E. Lowe, Renton, Wash. died August 19.

He was born April 25, 1919, in Ashland, Kentucky.

In 1954, he moved to Washington from Montana and worked as an auto mechanic from 1954 to 1978, when he retired.

Mr. Lowe was a member of Renton Eagles Aerie #1722 and was an avid fisherman and bowler. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II.

He survived by his wife, Betty Lowe, of Renton; his son, James D. Lowe of Pennsylvania; three daughters, Virginia Charboneau of Renton; Sandra Hughes of Kent, Washington; and Charlene Conner of Renton; two brothers, Fred Lowe of Tacoma, Washington; and Leo Lowe of Michigan; four sisters, Lucille Pitts of Ohio; Opal Maples of Chicago; Dorothy Sheathelm of Florida; and Dixie Smith of Michigan; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services and burial were held at Greenwood Memorial Chapel and Greenwood Memorial Park in Renton.
