His brother, Merrill Calhoun Williams Jr. wrote a letter on 02 Aug 1990 in which he stated "We put him [brother "Jim"] to rest the day after Memorial Day last year. After fifty years in California he and his wife, Helen Mitchell - a Mississippi native - had moved back to La. to be near her brothers. He was in Clayton almost two years when he failed to recover from a triple bypass operation. We put him to rest in the Mitchell's cemetery across from the Baptist Church in Union Church." [Source: letter from Merrill Calhoun Williams Jr. to Virginia Weeks Warbington.] However, He is shown in Ann Beckerson Brown's book "Jefferson County Mississippi Cemeteries, Etc, Volume II" (published 1996) as buried in the Union Church Cemetery, where he shares a double stone with his wife, "Helen M. Williams (12 Jul 1922 - no date)". Obviously Merrill got his cemeteries mixed up: Union Church Cemetery is across the road from The Union Church Presbyterian Church.
