Eileen O. Harrer, 83, of Ohio 100, died at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Fairview Manor where she had been living since last Friday. She had been ill for the past several months.

She was born in Lykens Township to Sevanes G. and Mary (Hershberger) Angene.

Survivors include one son, Jerry and his wife Mary Lou Harrer of Bloomville; two daughters, Diane and her husband James Fox of Upper Sandusky and Marylyn and her husband Harold Strang of Bucyrus; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Harrer was a homemaker and also farmed. A 1936 graduate of Lykens High School, she had lived her entire life in the area.

She was a member of the First United Methodist, the Wesleyan Circle of the Church and Contact Crawford County. Mrs. Harrer was also a volunteer at Bucyrus Community Hospital. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, traveling and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home. The Rev. Thomas Snode will officiate and burial will be in Brokensword Cemetery.

Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church or charity of the donor's choice through the funeral home.
