Inez Geraldine (Cutting) Long, 82, died peacefully January 2, 2018, at St Joseph’s Nursing Home in Lacon, Ill­inois, following a long battle with kidney disease.

Services will be 1 p.m. Friday, January 5, 2018, at Gunderson Funeral Chapel in Fort Dodge with Pastor John Elkin officiating. Interment will be in North Lawn Cemetery beside her husband, Donald who preceded her in death January 2, 2002. Visitation will Thursday, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Gunderson Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Fort Dodge.

She is survived by daughter, Pam (Dan) Bollengier, Peru, IL, son, Patrick (Diane), Fort Dodge, son, Perry and his companion, Wanda, Liberty, MO, son, Peter (Tanya), Anamosa, IA. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren Jayson (Danna) Bollengier, Jeremiah Bollengier, Jennifer (David) Weiss of Illinois and Justin Long, Kayleen (Cory) Scott, Kevin Struck of Fort Dodge, Allen Long, and Anthony (Ashley) Long, both of Missouri, and Joe Hart, Caleb and Jacob Long; and 21 great-grandchildren. Her brothers, Jimmy (Rowena) Cutting, Cedar Rapids, Kenny (Mary Ann) Cutting, Fort Dodge, and sisters, Susan (Bob) Brown, Jewell, Vicky (Dan) Klinger, Fort Dodge. She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald, her parents, 1 brother, 2 sisters, two grandsons and a granddaughter.

Inez Geraldine Long was born September 9, 1935 at Iowa City, IA. She attended school in Lehigh, IA. On October 18, 1953 she married Donald Floyd Long at Dayton Methodist Church. They established their home in Tara, IA, and in 1966 moved to their home of many years near Duncombe. Inez lived briefly in Fort Dodge and the past few years in Illinois by her daughter.

Inez worked cleaning houses and Liquid Carbonic plant for many years. She enjoyed her many grandchildren who called her Grandma Honey.
