Mary A.Phillips died Feb.19,2005 at San Pedro Manor.She was born Jan.8,1922 in Sweet Home(Seguin)Texas,Guadalupe County to C.A.Phillips and Addie Phillips.The oldest of three children,she was preceded in death by both parents.Mary accepted Christ at an early age at Greater Corinth Baptist Church under the pastorate of Rev.W.B.Miles.She later moved her membership to Mt.Zion First Baptist Church under Pastor Clude W.Black,Jr.A devoted member of Mt.Zion,she utlized her God given talents by serving as a pianist for Sunday School,Treasurer and mamber of Adult Sunday School Class #3,President General Mission,Member of Mt.Zion's Choir,Mission Chorus Director of Mt.Zion Day Care Center,President Mt.Zion Federal Credit Union and Member of Mission #13,Deacon Darryl W.Flaggs,Supervisor.Other church related activites included serving as musician for Sweet Home Baptist Church and St.John Baptist Church.She was also corresponding secretary of Guadulupe District Association and Pianist for the Men's Chorus at Greater Corinth Baptist Church.
