Age 101. Hazel was born and raised in Malden. She was a very creative amateur writer and poet. She was also a skilled dressmaker, and did a lot of sewing for both her family and her church. She was an avid gardener, and also a member of a book club whom with she was able to share her large collection of books. Mrs. Awad lived in Malden, Massachusetts for over 84 yrs and was previously from Maine for 7 years. She was preceded in death by her husband Moses, her parents, George and Lulu (Richardson) Clough, her daughter June Plummer, her brother, Erwin M. Clough, and her sisters Gladys Rowe and Bertram Clough.
