Michael was born in Denver, Colorado, on April 25, 1943, to Eunice and Warren Jones and passed away at his home in Wichita, Kansas on September 22, 2014.

Mike's family moved from Denver to Colorado Springs in 1959, where he went to Wasson High, then after 4 years in the Air Force he settled in Colorado Springs. On December 31, 1963, he married the love of his life, Josephine Burger Long. Mike worked at White Mfg. and Western Forge before moving to Wichita in 1979. His Air Force training prepared him to work in the aircraft industry in Wichita, and by the time he retired in 2005, he was proudly a part of the crew that upgrades and refurbishes the planes that become Air Force One.

He enjoyed his retirement until 2012 when Jo preceded him to heaven. We take great comfort in knowing Mike is with God and Josephine and once again feeling complete. Mike was also preceded in death by his father Warren H., and his sister Sharon.

Michael is survived by his mother Eunice and sister Marilyn of Colorado Springs, his brother Warren L. of Rapid City, SD; his nieces and nephews: Greg, Cheryl and Cindy; and John and Michael; and their children: Jacob and Jordan; Sarah, Amanda and Carrie; Anthony and Jennifer; and Gabrielle; his new great-grand-niece, Evelyn; and one on the way. Mike was dearly loved by Jo's family in Wichita and will be greatly missed by all of us.

Mike was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Wichita, where he enjoyed a loving spiritual fellowship. A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm, on Novembmer 8, 2014, at Livingston Funeral Home, 1830 N. Main Street, Kingman, KS 67068.
