Fay Albert Allen, 87 years old of San Bernardino, California, passed away on Friday,
January 2, 2015 at Reche Canyon Convalescent Hospital in Colton. He was born on
March 5, 1927 in Ashtabula, Ohio, to Walter and Jeanette Allen. He is preceded in
death by his wife, Carolyn Anita Allen, parents, Walter and Jeanette Allen, sisters, Vivian
M. Bonham, Beatrice E. Watson and brother, Ward L Allen. He is survived by
daughter, Carol Blanton (Frank), son, James Johns, granddaughters Tammy Doerr and Elizabeth Johns and great granddaughter Elizabeth Doerr, daughter-in-law Jackie Johns and sister Marguerite Botsford
(Thomas) and many nieces and nephews.
Fay worked as a surveyor for the State of California for over 35 years. He was
regarded as an expert at solving problems for highway and bridge construction. Fay
also shared his talent as an outstanding guitarist at preschool events.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2015, 9 a.m., and Funeral service at
10 a.m., both at Montecito Valley View Chapel, 3520 E. Washington St., Colton,
California, followed by burial.
