PAMPA - Rita Simpson, 72, died Tuesday, April 21, 1992, in Amarillo.

Vigil will be at 7 p.m. today at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Joe Bixenman, pastor of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, officiating. Funeral Mass will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at St. Vincent de Paul with the Rev. Brendan Sherry, chaplain of High Plains Baptist Hospital in Amarillo, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mrs. Simpson was born in Fredericksburg and moved to Pampa in 1945 from McLean. She married Lloyd Simpson Aug. 7, 1943, at Sparta, Wis. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and the Altar Society. She was a eucharistic minister of St. Vincent de Paul.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Jerry Simpson of Pampa; two daughters, Connie Simpson Largin of Pampa and Paula Simpson of Odessa; two brothers, Anthony Hartmann of Fredericksburg and Eric Hartmann of San Antonio; a sister, Elsie Till of Round Rock; and four grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to St. Anne's Children's Home or St. Anne's Nursing Home in Panhandle.
