The last spring of her life, Nancy and Edmond went to Manti to do temple work. One morning, as they were walking to the temple, she realized she had left her white stockings drying back at their room. She told Edmond to go on and she would go back and get them. She picked them off the line and rushed back to the temple. A lady started walking with her. She was very excited and asked, "Is this your first time?" Nancy said, "No, I have been here many times." The lady told Nancy her name and said, "I have waited a long, long time for this day to go to the temple. I am so happy." Nancy crossed a stream stepping on rocks and said, "Be careful". She then turned to help her new friend and she was gone! There was nobody around at all. Nancy went on in the temple and was given the name of the lady she had seen outside to do her work that day.
