CORINTH - Carl Arnold Rickman, 77, died Saturday, June 28, 2008, at Magnolia Regional Health Center surrounded by family. He was a charter member of Oakland Baptist Church and a retired inspector with Dana Corporation with 30 years of service. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who loved to travel and vacation with his family and friends. He was a great Christian father, role model and promise keeper to his family his entire life.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories in Corinth with Dr. Randy Bostick and the Rev. Warren Jones officiating. Burial will be at Forrest Memorial Park.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Norma Jones Rickman of Corinth; two sons, Gary Rickman and David Rickman (Sandy), both of Corinth; three grandsons, Jonathan Rickman, Jordan Rickman and Spencer Rickman, all of Corinth; two great-granddaughters, Sierra Rickman and Sidney Rickman, both of Spokane, Wash.; two sisters, Gernal Mask and Chloris Lewis, both of Corinth; two brothers-in-law, Leo Jones (Lynn) of Hammond, La., and Dick Jones (Joan) of Arlington, Tenn.; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Burga Joe and Bonnie Bowers Rickman; four brothers, Alonzo Rickman, Alvin Rickman, G.B. Rickman and Paschal Rickman; three sisters, Lucille Parvin, Kate Riddell and Maudie Rickman.

Pallbearers will be Jimmie Rickman, Joe David Rickman Jr., Reggie Rickman, Billy Riddell, Ned Riddell, Larry Smith, Rodney Smith and Steve Little. Honorary pallbearers will be the Men's Adult II Sunday School Class of Oakland Baptist Church and Roland Ransom, teacher.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 1 p.m until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
