Margaret Mary (Ward) Jurgens, 75, of Fergus Falls died Sunday, February 8, 2015, surrounded by her family at Park Gardens.

She was born August 19, 1939 in Milbank, SD to Patricius (P.D.) and Marie (Meyer) Ward. She graduated from Revillo High School in 1957.

On August 30, 1958, Margaret Mary married George Jurgens at Annunciation Catholic Church in Revillo, SD. Over the years, Margaret and George resided in Milbank, SD, Hallock, MN, Devils Lake, ND, Fergus Falls, MN and Sun City West, AZ.

Margaret was employed by Fergus Falls Bank and Trust for 12 years. In 1980, she and George developed a field windsock decoy and soon found themselves running one of the largest goose decoy businesses in the nation, North Wind Decoy Company. Margaret was instrumental in the success of North Wind and served as its president.

Margaret Mary will always be remembered as a loving and loyal wife, mother, nana, great-grandmother, big sister, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin and friend. She loved unconditionally, gave generously, never expecting anything in return. If you needed Margaret, she'd be there ready and willing to do whatever needed to be done. She will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Margaret Mary was a member of the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, Mrs. JC's and has been a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church since 1968. She was an avid Bridge and Mahjong player, participating in multiple clubs at a time. Margaret loved to host and entertain, her motto was, "The more the better!". She was an excellent cook, a hobby she loved.

Margaret is survived by her children: Brenda (Randy) Knutson of Fergus Falls, Nancy (Paul) Aughinbaugh of Fargo, Cheryl (Mike) Haberlack of Savage, MN and Ben (Amy) Jurgens of Fergus Falls; 11 grandchildren: Joe Sauer, Bekka (Derrick) Bucholtz, Samm (Natalie) Knutson, Alex (Natalie) Aughinbaugh, Amy Aughinbaugh, Eric Aughinbaugh, Megan, Anna, and Tommy Haberlack, Olivia and Emma Jurgens; two great-grandchildren: Benjamin and Paul; her special aunt, Gladys Lynde; 6 siblings: Joe (JoAnn) Ward, Joann Ward (Mark Krauseneck), Pat (Susan) Ward, Susan (Willy) Sloan, Angela (Joe) Bindner and Mark G. Ward and many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, George, a grandson, Mackenzie Mykle, a sister, Cathy Popp and a brother, Michael Ward.

Visitation: Wednesday from 4 to 7 P.M. with a prayer service at 6:30 P.M. at the Glende-Nilson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls and resuming for one hour prior to the service at the church.
Mass of Christian Burial: Thursday, February 12 at 10:30 A.M. at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Fergus Falls.
