John Quincy Adams III age 53 of Estill Springs, passed away suddenly at his home on August 19, 2013. He was born on August 5, 1960 in Huntsville, Al to John Adams Jr. and the late Delores Wilburn. At an early age Mr. Adams decided to make a difference in the world and join the United States Army. For over the past 10 years Mr. Adams worked for Rogers Group. There he received several awards for his achievements and particularly one award received was for saving a co-workers life. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Mr. Adams is preceded in death by his mother, Delores Wilburn and his grandparents. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Julie Adams; sons, Micheal Adams (fiancée, Sarah Stobaugh), Trenton (Heather) Adams, Donavan Hunter Adams; 5 grandchildren; father, John Adams Jr.; brothers, Marcus Adams, Michael Adams and Richard Adams; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral service will be conducted Friday, August 23, 2013 at 2pm from the chapel Watson-North Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Winchester City Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be Thursday, August 22, 2013 from 5-9pm at Watson-North Funeral Home.
