Alberta (Fenstermacher) Haas
Alberta F. Haas, 89, of Topton, passed away Monday at The Lutheran Home. She was the widow of Woodrow H. Haas, who passed away in 2006.
Born in Schoenersville, she was a daughter of the late George H. and Nettie A. (Mitman) Fenstermacher.
Alberta was a member of Zion's Union Church, Maxatawny, where she was active in the choir for more than forty years and in its ladies' organizations.
Surviving are grandsons, Benjamin Haas of Pittsburgh and Darwin Haas Jr. of Kempton; brother, George R.
Fenstermacher of Macungie; and sisters: May Stocker of Bethlehem; Irene, wife of Carl Dotterer, of Kempton; and Rev. Dr. Elaine Bogert of Kutztown.
Alberta was predeceased by her son, Darwin J. Haas; her step-mother, Marie M. (Hoch) Fenstermacher; brothers, Gilbert Hess and Glenn Fenstermacher; and sisters,
Marguerite Dotterer and Elinor Rodenbach.
Funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Friday in Zion's Church, 329 Church Road, Kutztown, PA 19530. A calling hour will begin at 10:00 a.m. in church.
Interment will follow in the adjoining churchyard.
Contributions may be made to the church memorial fund at the above address.
