Hubert Howard Acton was the first born son of Howard & Tweedie Allman Acton. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1942 and served with Company G, 811th Tank destroyer battalion. He operated a tank in the Battle of the Bulge and earned three bronze stars.
He married Avis Louise Williams on September 6, 1945 between hitches in the Army. Hubert and Avis had five children: Thomas Wayne, Charles Howard, Ronald Dale, Pamela Elaine & Richard Allen.
Hubert died at the Veterans Hospital in Louisville, KY from brain cancer.
He is greatly miss by his family.
