Ann Blakely Bruce, 66, wife of Perry Bruce of 328 Bailey Circle, passed away on Friday, August 24, 2012 at her home.
Born in Fair Play, she was the daughter of the late JB and Etrulia Blakely. Mrs. Bruce was a member of South Union Baptist Church and attended Oakdale Baptist Church.
Survivors in addition to her husband include sons Steve Bruce (Patty) of Greer and Michiel Bruce of Travelers Rest; daughter Linda Horton (Robert) of Travelers Rest; brother Kenneth Blakely (Bobbi) of Fair Play; sisters Barbara Johnson (Robert) of Townville, Margaret Nichols (Ron) of Anderson, and Cathy Williams (Jay) of Ohio; and 4 grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, brother Jack Blakely preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be 12 PM, Monday, August 27, 2012 at Oakdale Baptist Church. Burial will follow at South Union Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 11 - 12, Monday, prior to the service at the church. The family is at the residence. In lieu of flowers memorials in her memory may be made to MUSC of Charleston, 261 Calhoun Street, Suite 306, MSC 182, Charleston, SC 29425, or Vista Care Hospice, 15 Brendan Way, Suite 100, Greenville, SC 29615.
