He was a retired carpenter with Nielsen Construction where he spent 30 years. He was a World War II veteran of the Army Air Force. He was married to his loving wife, Irene, for 60 years, who preceded him in death six months prior.
Survivors include sons Richard (Katie) of San Diego, John (Jeanie) of Slidell, LA, and daughters Kathy of Carlsbad and Karen (Bill) of Lemon Grove, as well as, grandchildren Jolene, Marshall, Johnny, Rachel, Grant, and great-grandson Clayton. He is also survived by sisters, Martha Rushe of Pittsburgh, PA, and Virginia (Joseph) Kozak of Allentown, PA, sister-in-law Margaret Strayer of San Diego, brother-in-law John (Margaret) Gaydac of Lower Burrell, PA and many loving nieces and nephews.
