E. A. [A. A.] Phillips, an old gentleman, 72 years of age, was dragged to death by a team of mules Wednesday afternoon of this week at the home of his son Lon Phillips, north of Vernon. The unfortunate man lived at Sulpher Springs, Arkansas, but was visiting his son who lives on the Colstom place several miles from Vernon. The body was sent to the old home for burial.
