Alan Dale Huffman Funeral Mass for Alan Dale Huffman, age 70, will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, December 10, 2011 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Monsignor Thomas Kirk officiating.

Mr. Huffman died on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

Alan was born in Muncie, IN on September 10, 1941, the son of the late Charles Edwin (Find A Grave Memorial#104159091) and Helen Louise Earlywine Huffman ( Find A Grave Memorial# 79771991). He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was a retired Shift Supervisor with Smurfit-Stone Container Corp. He was a communicant of St. Mary's Catholic Church, where he was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was very active in the Boy Scouts of America receiving the Silver Eagle Award. He was a former member of the Elks Club and Lions Club of Trenton. His passion and hobby was woodworking. He very much loved his family and his grandchildren and great grandchildren were the apple of his eye. He was a blessed man being able to spend nearly fifty years with the love of his life.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Kay Huffman of Jackson, TN; son, Jeffery Alan Huffman and wife Teresa of Warrensburg, MO and their children, Jessica Fowler King and husband Chris and their child Kaylen King and Brittney Elizabeth Bradshaw and husband Jake and Jacob Alan Huffman; daughter, Kimberly Kay Hudson of Jackson and her children Jeffery Bryan Allen II, Bailey Elizabeth Hudson and Hanna Brooke Hudson and Jeffery's daughter Tenley Brooke Allen; daughter, Sandy Kay Maxwell and husband Ted of Jackson and their children Nicholas Maxwell and wife Nicole, and Nicholas' daughters, Bailey Grace Maxwell and Peyton Kai Maxwell, Lee Alan Maxwell and Bryce Alan Maxwell and daughter, Aleksandra Wojtas and husband Tomasz and their child Zuzanna Wojtas; niece and nephews that he raised as his own, Scott, Troy, Christy, Mike, Chuck and Sherri; brother, Marvin Huffman and wife Carroll of Michigan City, IN; two sisters, Donna Bosh and husband Gene of La Porte, IN and Pat Lunsford and her son Darin of Fairborn, OH.

The family will be receiving friends on Saturday, December 10, 2011 from 12 noon til 2 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church.

The family is requesting memorial contributions directed to Sacred Heart of Jesus High School, 185 Greenfield Drive, Jackson, TN.
