Donald J. Bankemper was born on October 17, 1921 in Campbell County, Kentucky to William Francis Bankemper and Charlotte Patterson Bankemper. He married Miriam Martha "Meno" Meiners Bankemper, and they became the parents of Paul Bankemper, Stef Bankemper (a Catholic priest), Mark Bankemper, Martha Bankemper Wolking, Patrick Bankemper, and Michael R. Bankemper. Donald passed away at age 69 on October 4, 1991 in Florence, Boone County, Kentucky and is buried next to his wife In Saint Stephen Cemetery in Fort Thomas, Campbell County.
