Kenneth R. Reichart, 84, of Muhlenberg Twp., passed July 24, 2013 in his residence. He was the husband of Ruth N. (Ely) Reichart Born in Laureldale, he was the son of the late Mayberry L. and Mabel (Boyer) Reichart. Kenneth worked for DANA Corp. as a welder for 19 years retiring in 1989. He served as a Union Safety Representative and Committee Person for the local Steelworkers Union. He was a Korean War veteran serving in the United States Marine Corps. He is also survived by a daughter, Karen L. wife of Kenneth Alston of Hyde Park, son, Keith N. husband of Cynthia Reichart of Muhlenberg Township, 4 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, brother, Paul R. Reichart, and sisters, Fern R. Furillo and Grace R. Endy. Service will be held Wednesday, July 31st at 12 Noon in Henninger Funeral Home, Inc., 229 N. 5th St., Reading, PA. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Laureldale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Berks County Assoc. for the Blind, 2020 Hampden Blvd., Reading, PA 19604 or Cancer Treatment Centers of America, 1331 East Wyoming Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19124 Henninger Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
