Albert Ray Prince was born May 3, 1927 in Earl, Arkansas to Pearl (Burnett) and Bawdy Prince.

Albert raised chickens, chopped wood and hauled lumber as a young man in Arkansas.

He married Genevia Van Winkle August 12, 1950 in Newport, Arkansas and they brought their family to Wasco in 1965.

Albert went to work for Howard Hay Company where he worked until his retirement. Albert loved going to Success Lake or Lake Isabella to fish and to Alder Creek to hunt. He was a member of the Wasco Church of Christ.

Albert is survived by his wife of 62 years, Genevia Prince of Wasco; son, Ronald Prince of Taft; daughter, Dorothy and husband Joe Anderson of Wasco; twin sister, May McCluskey of Arkansas; 2 grandchildren, Joey Anderson and wife Megan and Christina Anderson & wife Jennifer Nicklas; great grandchildren, Tara Robertson, Tristan Mejia, Grace Anderson, Lilli Anderson and Faith Anderson; and great great grandson, Zayden Ray Robertson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Louis Prince; daughter-in-law, Sue Prince; and granddaughter, Melissa Prince.

Donations may be made in memory of Albert to the Wasco Church of Christ, 2005 7th Street, Wasco, CA 93280.

A graveside funeral service will be held Friday, April 5 at 10am at Wasco Memorial Park for Albert Ray Prince, age 85, of Wasco who passed away April 1, 2013 in Bakersfield.

Pastor Lyn Klase of the Lake Isabella Church of Christ will officiate and interment will follow.
