MRS. HENRY C. BINNS
Mrs. Henry C. Binns, died at her home in this city, Saturday, June 8, after an illness of 10 weeks of apoplexy. Her suffering was intense and the best of care physicians, nurses, and loved ones failed to reliever her.
The funeral was held from the home, 902 Coolbaugh Street, Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock conducted by Rev. E. W. McDade, assisted by Rev. J. W. Clevenger. Interment was in the Evergreen Cemetery. The pall bearers were six nephews of Mrs, Binns, sons of her brother, Thomas Weidman. They were Richard, Edward, Clark, Phillip, Joseph, and Roy Weidman.
Mrs. Binns whose maiden name was Mary Eta Weidman, was born in Warren County, New Jersey, March 16, 1834, and came with her parents to Fremont County, Iowa, In 1857, she came to Montgomery County in 1862, where she was married to Henry C. Binns. They lived on a farm near Nyman until they retired from the activity of the farm to Red Oak 18 years ago, where they have since resided.
She is survived by her husband, two brothers, and two sisters, Thomas Weidman of this city, Daniel Weidman of Eldora, Kansas, Mrs. William What of Independence, Iowa and Mrs. Limila Thompson of Shenandoah.
She is also survived by an adopted daughter, Mrs. Edna Binns Baker and by a daughter and two sons of Mr. Binns by a former marriage and to whom she has given the loving care of a mother. They are Charles Binns of Omaha, Willie Binns of Red Oak and Mrs. Hester Danielson of Nyman.
Mrs. Binns had been a member of the Methodist Church for more than forty years. She was a woman of beautiful character, quiet and reserved by nature and devoted to her family and friends.
