James Thomas Howard was the son of Jonathan Howard and Esther Smith. He was one of two children born to the couple.

James Thomas Howard married Hannah Sutton (who he is interred with) in December 1895. The couple went on to have a total of ten children who they brought up at 8 Swift Street, Newton Heath.

A large portrait photograph of James used to hang in house of his daughter Amy. As soon as I am able to obtain a copy of it it will appear here as part of the memorial to James.

In loving memory of JAMES THOMAS, beloved husband of HANNAH HOWARD, died April 27th 1937, aged 65 years.
Also HANNAH, his beloved wife, died Jan. 21st 1940, aged 66 years.
