Mrs. Melvina Parks Dies, Funeral At Dennard
Melvina Parks, 65, widow of Nealy Parks and native of Dennard, died at her home in Los Angeles at 4:30 a.m. Thursday, October 31. She was born December 24, 1891, and had lived at Dennard all her life until six years ago when she went to California to make her home with a son Leon Parks.
She was married to Mr. Parks in 1909 and he died ten years ago. She was a Methodist.
In addition to Leon Parks, survivors are two brothers, Joe and Dave Hancock.
Funeral services were conducted at Dennard cemetery at 2 p.m. Monday, November 4, by Henry Pipkin, Church of Christ of Clinton.
North Arkansas Funeral Home was in charge.
