She was the daughter of the late James Garfield and Zora Mae Hewitt Slaybaugh.
Mrs. Sheppard was employed for many years with C.H. Musselman in Biglerville. She enjoyed bingo, music and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was the wife of the late Wilmer Curtis Sheppard, her husband of 50 years, who departed this life January 15, 2003, and is survived by two daughters, Dorothy E. McDannell of Orrtanna and Doris F. Sheppard of Fayetteville; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by three half-brothers and one half-sister.
