Sgt. U.S. Army, Vietnam War-Sgt. Aiken was killed in action by small arms fire near Camp Evans AFLD on 11-13-1970 while serving as a Light Weapons Infantryman with Co. D of the 2nd Battalion, 506th Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division. Sgt. Aiken started his tour of Vietnam on 9-17-1970.

Sgt. Aiken is the son of Mr. & Mrs. William L. Aiken of 25 Gilmore Place, Whitehall, New York, and the husband of Mrs. Jeanette M. Aiken of 53 Mountain Street, Whitehall, N.Y.

Awards: Purple Heart Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, Vietnam Service Medal with One Service Star, Vietnam Campaign Medal, National Defense Medal.
