-Mrs. Townsend, a native of Russellville, KY was born on August 14, 1920. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Irvin and Maude Gregory Shipper. She lived most of her life in Macon and a member of Mabel White Baptist Church. One of her favorite past times was bicycle riding throughout her neighborhood, something she did late into her 70's. -Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Bobbie Lee Townsend of Macon; children, Dale Townsend of Macon, Lannie Townsend of Athens, Sue T. McKinney of Gray and Dawn T. Cravey of Gray; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. -The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 P.M. Wednesday evening at the funeral home. -Flowers accepted or contributions may be made to the donors charity of choice. -Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery is in charge of arrangements.
