Alan L. Driscoll, age 87, of Janesville died peacefully on February 15, 2015 at his home. He was born in Albertville, MN on November 29, 1927, son of John and Esther (Aydt) Driscoll. Al moved to Janesville when he was a young child where he attended St. Mary’s Catholic Grade School and Janesville High School. Alan served in the US Army from February 6, 1946 until he was Honorably discharged in October of 1947. On April 19, 1958 he married Darlene Andrews in Chicago and together they had three daughters. She preceded him in death. Al worked for 41 years at GMAD as a reliability inspector retiring in 1990. He was a member of St. William Catholic Church, Janesville Elk’s Lodge #254 and the Golden K’s. Al was a very generous, quiet and humble gentleman, who had a wonderful sense of humor. He was an avid bowler and golfer and also enjoyed traveling, photography and an occasional gambling trip. Al was very proud of his daughters and grandchildren, whom he loved dearly. He is survived by his daughters; grandchildren; great grandchildren; his close friend and female companion for many years; a brother and many more. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings: Harlan Driscoll, June Helbig, Joan Tepler, Arlene Wasisco, and Ted Driscoll. Interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
