He was a native of Gaston County and the son of E. Graham Bell and the late Gayle Walker Bell.
Chris graduated from Gaston Day School in 1979, attended Appalachian State University and recently completed the requirements to receive his real estate appraisal license.
He was formerly the Vice President of Cramer Mountain Country Club, Lakewood Golf Course and was of Lutheran faith.
In addition to his father, Chris is survived by his wife, Beth Bell, daughter, Abbey Bell, brothers, Chuck, Craig and Patrick Bell, sister, Meg Leatherwood and husband Kelly, his canine companion Scout and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his mother Chris was preceded in death by grandparents, Thelma H. Bell and John Clyde Bell and Margaret Hill and E.H. Walker, Sr.
