Peggy R. Long went to be with her Lord on Feb. 15, 2015. She was born on Oct. 12, 1933 in Tulsa, OK to Lucile (Van Nostrand) and Woodrow W. Campbell. She attended Will Rogers High School in Tulsa, OK and upon graduation, attended the University of Tulsa where she was a proud member of the Chi Omega Sorority.
Peggy earned her real estate license and become a well-established real estate agent as well as an entrepreneur. She married Gerald E. Iott in Tulsa, OK on Aug. 7, 1954 and after his passing in 1988, she married Dale E. Long on Aug. 22, 1998 in Salisbury, MD.
One of Peggy’s fondest memories was picnicking as a child in Yellowstone. Her greatest achievements in life were her children and family. If you could sum up the life of Peggy in three words, it would be “Isn’t that wonderful!”
Peggy is survived by her children; Linda Sanders of Seaford, DE; Paul (Barbie) Iott of The Village, OK; Keith (Patty) Iott of Salisbury, MD, grandchildren; Laciee Sanders of Seaford, DE; Stephanie Pirtle of Oklahoma City; Kristen Iott of Oklahoma City; Kristina Iott of Salisbury, MD and brother Kenneth (Patricia) Campbell of Tulsa, OK. Peggy is also survived by R.C. and Billye Van Nostrand; Valerie and Jeff Cranston; Eric and Teri Campbell. She is preceded in death by her husband’s Gerald E. Iott and Dale E. Long.
Come-and-go visitation for Peggy will be on Friday, Feb. 20, 2015 at Crawford Family Funeral Home, Edmond from 12-7 p.m. with family to receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Funeral services will be Sat., Feb. 21, 2015 at 10 A.M. at the Santa Fe Presbyterian Church, 1603 N. Santa Fe Ave., Edmond, OK 73003 with burial to proceed at Resurrection Cemetery in OKC. Peggy’s family would like to give a special thank you to Bradford Village in Edmond, OK, Tuscany Village Nursing Center in The Village, OK and Sooner Hospice of Oklahoma City for taking wonderful care of Peggy.
