Helen Marie Baker Cook, 71, of Niota, passed away on Monday, Feb. 16, 2015, at her residence.
A native of Chesapeake City, Md., and a resident of McMinn County most of her life, she was a daughter of Robert Fred and Leota Moxley Baker, and was also preceded in death by one brother, Ronald Baker.
She was a member of Union McMinn Baptist Church and former owner of Action Real Estate and Dale Cook Classic Homes. She was also active in the Athens Elks Lodge.
Survivors include five sons and one daughter-in-law, Curtis and Jan Webb Jr. of Madisonville, Michael Joseph Webb of Niota, William Curtis Webb of Reelfoot, Johnny Webb of Niota, and Eric Webb Cook of Niota; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Robert L. and Lee Baker of Delaware, Alfred Leroy Baker of Delaware, and Fred and Anita Baker of Chelsea, Ala.; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Connie and Bill Moyer of Harrisonburg, Va., and Linda Sue and Stanley Baker Keminski of Smyrna, Del.; five grandchildren, Amberly, Heather, Brittany, Justin, and Tiffanie; and two great-grandsons, Jonathan and Dameon.
Funeral services will be 8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 19, in the chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with the Rev. Doug Alexander officiating.
Interment will be 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 20, in Sweetwater Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday before the service.
