Shirley Louise Abbey, age 60, Springfield, a secretary for Northwest Baptist Church, went to be with our Lord at 11:21 p.m. Saturday, August 30, 2003, in St. John's Regional Health Center. Shirley was married for 19 years to her devoted husband Jerry.
She is survived by Jerry Abbey; daughter Alysia Ruddle; step-son John and his wife Jane; sister Lola Walker and her husband Jack; brother Herb Gulley and his wife Bobbie; sister-in-law Ruth Gulley; son-in-law Randy Ruddle; grandchildren Dalton Ruddle and Jennifer Abbey. She was loved by many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Owen and Vera Gulley, and brother Charles Gulley.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 2, 2003, in Northwest Baptist Church, with burial following in Antioch Cemetery, under direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
