Mary grew up in Los Angeles, Calif. and moved to Oregon in her teens. She met and married Don Hite and they moved to the Warden area in the Columbia Basin in the early 1950s where they owned and operated a farm.
Mary enjoyed sewing and working in her garden. She loved flowers, with roses always her favorite. She will be remembered most for her great sense of humor and her patient, kind and understanding ways. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Mary was preceded in death by her son Russell Hite and her parents Warner and Lorraine Bloom.
She is survived by her husband Don Hite; son John (Aleksandra) Hite in Europe; daughter Dona Strickland of Moses Lake; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held March 23, 2006 at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Warden with Pastor Jody Bowser officiating. Arrangements with Kayser's Chapel & Crematory.
