Orville B. Coe, 89, of Oshkosh, died Tuesday November 6, 2001, at the Park View Health Center. He was born on January 24, 1912 in the Town of Wittenberg, WI, the son of Alfred and Maude Rhodes Coe. On September 16, 1933 he married Erma B. Farvour in Milwaukee. She preceded him in death on December 28, 1998.

He was a first class machinist and welder at the Bell Machine Co., later known as Medalist Industries, in Oshkosh. He was a member of the Elo Evangelical Church, and enjoyed bowling and hunting.

His survivors include three sons, Burton "‘Mick" (Barbara) Coe of Pickett, WI, Wayne (Jean) Coe of Oshkosh, Eugene (Bev) Coe of Pickett, WI; two daughters, Nancy (Gordon) Trapp of Oshkosh, and Shari Johnston of Ripon,; a brother, Roger (Irene) Coe of California; nine grandchildren: Keith (Debbie) Trapp, Mark Trapp, Patti Hangartner, Cynthia (Michael) Schaefer, Sandra (Darrin) Boyle, Kathy (Dan) Schmidtke, Brian Zuge, Stephanie Garnes, Faith (Mark) Edgren; thirteen great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Clyde, Lester, and Chester Coe, and by two sisters, Ethel Tullberg and Bessie Marten.

Funeral services will be at the Elo Evangelical Church on Friday November 9, 2001 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Rex Whitlock officiating. Visitation will be at the church Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park.
